Our shop was opened in May 2007 and continues to be a great success, thanks to the wonderful support from the community in donating and purchasing goods, and of course our fantastic Volunteers who staff the shop; sorting donations and serving customers with a smile on their faces and a cheery greeting to everyone.

Polly

In June 2023 we appointed a Shop Manager Polly, who will enable us to open the shop on more days and increase shop and online sales, which will benefit the charity and help fund our services.

This post is funded for 12 months by The Moondance Foundation who we are extremely grateful to.

The shop provides BWCS with an essential source of income as without this we would not be able to provide our services. It is also a  valuable asset to our town, offering a variety of goods at reasonable prices and of course a great place to volunteer.

The shop currently has over 1000 Gift Aid donors who bring items in for sale. With Gift Aid, we can claim an additional 25% on top of the sale price of each Gift Aid item.

Monday - 10 AM to 4 PM

Tuesday - 10AM to 4PM

Wednesday - CLOSED

Thursday - 10AM to 4PM

Friday - 10AM to 4PM

Saturday - 10AM to 1PM

Sunday - CLOSED

Donations are welcome during opening hours. (Please no fly tipping)

Donations

We are grateful for all donations we receive, we can accept:

Clothing , Shoes , China, Curtains, Books, Linen, Accessories, Toys

All should be clean and in a saleable condition, although we can also accept donations of clothing, fabric, shoes & bags for Textile recycling “rag”

We can also accept small electrical items that are in good, working order

Please note we are unable to take:

Furniture (of any size), baby equipment, video cassettes, televisions, LP’s, real animal fur, golf clubs & bags, duvets & pillows
