Builth Wells Community Support was established in 1995 and is a Charity and Company Limited by Guarantee.
We aim to provide services which help local people. We have two paid members of staff but all services are provided by volunteers.
We establish and run schemes to help people live healthy, independent lives within their community. We recruit, train, place and support volunteers. We work in partnership with other organisations and statutory authorities. We act as a focal point for information. We participate in community events.
Our volunteers provide the following services: Transport through the Community Car Scheme, shopping and prescription delivery, and various Other Services.
BWCS services are partly funded by proceeds raised in our Charity Shop. However, every we are faced with a budget shortfall. We rely entirely on grants and donations to meet this shortfall. You can donate to us for as little as £1 a month via Local Giving, or join our 200+ Club. Anything you give will directly benefit the people of Builth Wells and the surrounding area.
