Volunteering - Get Involved!
The definition of volunteering used by the Welsh Assembly Government is as follows:
"Volunteering is an important expression of citizenship and an essential component of democracy. It is the commitment of time and energy for the benefit of society and the community and can take many forms. It is undertaken freely and by choice, without concern for financial gain".
Wales Council for Voluntary Action (WCVA) is the voice of the voluntary sector in Wales. They represent and campaign for voluntary organisations, volunteers and communities. Their website is a great place to learn more about volunteering.
Further information on volunteering can be found on the Volunteering Wales website

We have twenty two organisations registered with us requiring volunteers. We advertise their vacancies in our newsletter, on our notice board and on the Wales Council for Voluntary Action (WCVA) website. We provide support and training to volunteers. We are always looking for new Volunteers to help with our various Schemes including office support and our Charity Shop.
